Cổ phiếu FPT mất đến 11 năm để vượt qua đỉnh cũ lập được sau khi lên sàn.
Tại đại hội đồng cổ đông thường niên 2021 vừa được tổ chức, Chủ tịch FPT Trương Gia Bình đã cho biết “chúng tôi tự hào có 200 triệu phú đô la khi đưa cổ phiếu niêm yết trên sàn chứng khoán, nhân viên có được cuộc sống ấm no, lái xe công ty cũng có thể cho con đi du học…phần lớn lãnh đạo các cty công nghệ tại VN xuất thân từ FPT”.
FPT chào sàn ngày 13/12/2006 – đúng thời kỳ sốt nóng nhất của chứng khoán Việt Nam giai đoạn 2006-2007. Giá đóng cửa phiên giao dịch đầu tiên là 400.000 đồng/cp (điều chỉnh hiện còn khoảng 22.600 đồng) – tương ứng vốn hóa thị trường đạt hơn 24.000 tỷ đồng.
Tại thời điểm đó, ông Bình thậm chí là người giàu nhất trên sàn chứng khoán. Các thành viên sáng lập chủ chốt khác của FPT như ông Bùi Quang Ngọc, Đỗ Cao Bảo, Lê Quang Tiến… cũng đều sở hữu lượng cổ phiếu trị giá vài trăm tỷ đến cả nghìn tỷ đồng.
3 thành viên sáng lập của FPT hiện vẫn nằm trong Top10 cổ đông lớn nhất là ông Trương Gia Bình, Bùi Quang Ngọc và bà Trương Thị Thanh Thanh
Sau đó, cổ phiếu FPT còn tăng gần 70% lên mức đỉnh 665.000 đồng vào cuối tháng 2/2007 (tương đương giá sau điều chỉnh là 37.500 đồng). Phải đến tháng 12/2017, tức 11 năm sau khi niêm yết thì FPT mới phá được mức đỉnh cũ này. Từ cuối năm 2018 đến nay, ngoại trừ việc suy giảm chung cùng thị trường trong quý 1/2020 do Covid-19, cổ phiếu FPT nhìn chung ở trong xu hướng đi lên và hiện đang ở mức cao nhất từ trước đến nay.
Ở mức giá hiện tại, vốn hóa của FPT đạt hơn 62.000 tỷ đồng.
